TMAI is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by training indigenous church leaders to be approved pastor-teachers, able to equip their churches to make biblically sound disciples.

The roots of TMAI go back to 1992 when leaders of the Baptist Union from Ukraine first approached John MacArthur and Grace Church to request help in training their pastors. A team of missionaries – all graduates of The Master’s Seminary – was sent to provide the requested training.

In the ensuing years, similar requests came from numerous other countries resulting in the establishment of more pastoral training centers staffed by graduates of The Master’s Seminary. Today, TMAI is comprised of 15 international training centers, with estimates that as many as 14 schools could be added in the next 5 years.

New Schools

TMAI looks to continue to expand: Two schools are planned to become TMAI Member Schools in April, 2020. We anticipate another 14 additional schools will become Member Schools in the next 5 years.

Ministry in the Middle East

TMAI has recently added its first member school in the middle east region in a strategic country (country name withheld for security). Twenty five pastors from a neighboring country in the region have requested training, and an extension site is already operating to train those pastors as well. In addition, TMAI is spearheading an Arabic video curriculum of the Fundamentals of the Faith curriculum.

Training in Armenia

Through its training center in Samara, Russia, TMAI has recently begun training of pastors in Armenia. 20 pastors participate in the training and there are unique opportunities presenting themselves for influence in the surrounding countries.

Biblical Doctrine Translation

TMAI Training Center Faculty are currently working on multiple translations of Biblical Doctrine. With the continued support of ministry partners, this volume will be available to 4.2 billion people in 15 languages, or approximately 56% of the world’s population.

Publishing Initiative

Translating and publishing is a key ministry for each of the training centers, impacting a language group outside its own region and beyond any one generation. With this in mind, TMAI is coordinating between key publishers to share resources and best practices to assist training centers in increasing their efficiency and impact.
